Found "F22 tigress" with 2 cubs in Umphang forest

Mr. Prayut Waiwong, Director of Conservation Area Management Office 14 (Tak), revealed that he had received a report from Mr. Piya Pinyo, Chief of Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary, that the automatic camera traps had clearly recorded the image of a mother tiger with two cubs, which is an important success in the conservation of tigers in Thailand, in the continuous conservation of the Western Forest Complex.

Back in 2022, Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary collaborated with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Thailand to survey tiger and prey populations using automated camera traps installed at various points in the Umphang forest. That year, researchers discovered the first female tiger, assigned the code F22, which excited everyone and gave hope that it could survive and continue its genetic heritage in this forest.
